Telehealth services make managing your depression symptoms easy. You aren’t limited to the psychiatric nurse practitioners or mental health treatment providers within driving or commuting distance. Instead, you can connect with a licensed, caring provider no matter where you or they are. Treatment can take place from the comfort and privacy of your home, and it’s easier to schedule an appointment that fits into your busy life.
What’s more, several studies have found that telehealth services for depression improves access to care and is just as effective as in-person treatment.
Washington State mandates some in-person appointments for patients taking a controlled substance. We will discuss this during your sessions.

During your first appointment, we’ll discuss your symptoms, medical history, and current treatment plan. By the end of the appointment, you’ll know if Owens Mental Health is right for you and schedule follow-up appointments as necessary.
We can usually schedule for a free, 15-minute consultation within one week and an intake within two weeks. Check our online scheduling system for availability.
There’s no one cause of depression. A combination of brain chemistry, life events, your genetics, and physical health can contribute to your depression. We’ll work together to figure out how to manage your symptoms, no matter the cause.
Yes, as long as they are not somehow making your depression worse. Let us know what medications you’re currently on and how well they’re working for you. After your first appointment, we’ll discuss continuing or changing your medications.
Absolutely. Whether you’re currently on a medication or considering starting, we’re happy to provide ongoing medication management services so you understand the benefits and disadvantages of psychiatric medications and follow up to ensure your medications are having the desired effect.
You’ll meet with your provider every two to four weeks for medication management, depending on the specifics of your situation. Over time, you may only need an appointment every two to three months.

We accept most major insurance carriers, including Aetna, Blue Cross, Blue Shield, BlueCross Blue Shield, Cigna, First Choice, HMA, Kaiser HMO and PPO, Life Wise, Premera, Regence, Uniform/UMP.
If you don’t have insurance or would prefer to pay cash, we charge $300 for an intake appointment and between $100 and $150 for follow-ups. Learn more about insurance and billing.
