Welcome to Owens Mental Health, a mental health service for adults throughout Seattle and Washington State. We offer in-person and online psychiatric evaluation services for anyone who struggles with their mental health and is looking for an accurate diagnosis, medication management, and support for their mental health condition.

How a Psychiatric Evaluation Can Help

Itโ€™s normal to face struggles throughout life, and itโ€™s equally normal to feel overwhelmed by daily living on occasion. But when the struggles or feelings interfere with your personal relationships, career, or ability to function normally, it may be time to dig deeper.

A psychiatric evaluation can help you identify not only what youโ€™re feeling but why you may be feeling it. It can help you understand how your current environment, childhood, traumatic experiences, or even your genes are impacting your mental health today. More importantly, a psychiatric evaluation is the first step toward creating an action plan that can help you get a handle on and maybe even overcome whatever youโ€™re facing.

No matter which part of Seattle or Washington you live in, we make getting a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation easy. In-person and telehealth treatment options give you the freedom and flexibility to meet with a caring, compassionate mental health professional in the office or from the comfort and privacy of your own home.

A comprehensive psychiatric evaluation can help identify why you may be experiencing certain behaviors or emotions and what you can do about them. If thereโ€™s a history of psychiatric conditions (either in yourself or other family members), you suspect you have a mental health condition, or are searching for an accurate diagnosis, a psychiatric evaluation can help you pinpoint whatโ€™s going on and create a treatment plan that addresses it.

A comprehensive psychiatric evaluation includes questions about your past and current symptoms, your medical history, your social history and your familyโ€™s history โ€” including their mental health disorders, and your lifestyle (like sleep, stress, and substance use).

After your psychiatric evaluation, you and your provider will discuss the results and what they mean, then collaborate to design an appropriate treatment plan (including medication if appropriate) that addresses your mental health condition.

We accept most major insurance carriers, including Aetna, Blue Cross, Blue Shield, BlueCross Blue Shield, Cigna, First Choice, HMA, Kaiser HMO and PPO, Lifewise, Premera, Regence, Uniform/UMP.

If you donโ€™t have insurance or would prefer to pay cash, we charge $300 for an intake appointment and between $100 and $150 for follow-ups. Learn more about insurance and billing.
